The Husqvarna company has a very interesting history, and can quite possibly be one of the oldest companies still in existence in the world. Originally founded in 1689 in Sweden, they started business by manufacturing arms (muskets) for the Swedish army. In 1872 they decided to enter the sewing machine manufacturing business, and today the Viking range are true marvels of technology.
