Elna Sewing Machine company logoFind a used Elna sewing machine for sale in the many cheap listings on this site.

Elna as a manufacturer entered the market reasonably late compared to other companies, with their first machines only being produced in 1940. While this first model included the "break-through" innovation of a free-arm, the machine was probably best known for its green color. Most previous machines having been black with gold trimmings.

When it comes to "bang for your buck" then Elna is a good choice. They often lack all the whistles and bells of the modern machines (large touch screens, etc), but they certainly do not lack in capability. If you are a part time sewer, or just learning your craft, or on a budget, then you will not go wrong by selecting an Elna machine.
